National Mortgage News (NMN) recognizes companies every year that prioritize workplace excellence, employee satisfaction, and cultivating an environment where people feel valued. The ranking is based on extensive employee feedback, making it a true reflection of what it means to be part of Atlantic Bay.
The nomination period opened in September 2024, gathering assessments to recognize companies that put their people first. Rankings are based on in-depth surveys and employer reports, covering leadership, culture, job satisfaction, growth opportunities, benefits, and overall engagement.
Having previously earned NMN’s lofty distinction for employers of 500+ in 2021, 2023, and 2024, we feel vindicated to know that when you put people first, success will certainly follow.
In a business where change has become one of the only constants, we remain steadfast in what truly matters most—our approach to lending, the neighborhoods we call home, and the commitments we’ve upheld since brothers Brian and Stan Holland opened our doors all the way back in 1996.

Yet for us, 2024 was a year to regain our footing, give back, and make an even bigger lasting impression on the communities where we live and work.
A shared all-hand-on deck approach allowed us to serve more than 11,000 homeowners and complete 2,000 E-Closings. We cut our average time to close to under 26 days—less than half the national average—while maintaining a stellar customer satisfaction score.
And now, as we turn our attention to the rest of 2025, one thing is clear—the future looks brighter than ever.

About the Award:
The Best Mortgage Companies to Work for Awards program is a collaboration between National Mortgage News and the Best Companies Group, which conducts extensive employee surveys and reviews employer reports on benefits and policies. The employee survey covers eight topics: Leadership and Planning; Corporate Culture and Communications; Role Satisfaction; Work Environment; Relationship with Supervisor; Training, Development and Resources; Pay and Benefits; and Overall Engagement.
Following a thorough assessment of the organizations, the survey data was analyzed, and the companies received an overall score that determines their rankings. The overall score comprises the employee survey (worth 75%) and the employer questionnaire (worth 25%).
