Jim Elfelt started his career in the mortgage/real estate industry in 1983 and joined Atlantic Bay in 2009. Jim has seen many changes over the years. He says, “Programs are changing all the time and mortgage bankers have to understand the new concepts. We keep very close tabs on the compliance requirements to make sure we meet them.” He adds, “There are so many little things to navigate. If you are legitimately looking out for someone’s best interest, I think it comes through. Clients realize that I have their best interest in mind.” Ninety-five percent of Jim’s clients are repeat customers, a testimony to the credo instilled by his Midwestern father, “Treat people like you want to be treated and you’ll be fine.”
