With two decades in the mortgage business, and having helped more than 1,000 families into their homes, Melanie Troutman still points to one moment as her favorite part of the job — closing. “Watching my buyer reach across the closing table to get their keys gives me chills every time,” she says.
Melanie will be based in North Carolina, with a focus in the Triad region, Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and High Point. She works with all homebuyers, but specializes in first-time homebuyers, VA loans, and working with retirees.
“Each buyer has a different story and I’ve met some wonderful people,” says Melanie. “There’s no one answer to a loan program. I offer an advantage to the borrower to use my knowledge and expertise to help them find the right loan product.”
When she’s not working, Melanie enjoys the outdoors — hiking, boating and sailing, and spending time at the beach. As self-proclaimed “bird nerd” Melanie has over 14 different species of birds feeding off her deck. She is also involved with Phoenix Rising of Winston-Salem.
