Laurie Correa Elliott has lived in the close-knit community of Hendersonville, North Carolina since 1971. With more than 20 years of experience in the mortgage industry, she’s a great resource for homebuyers moving to western North Carolina.
In the early 1990s, Laurie was involved in the creation of a weekly real estate magazine for a Hendersonville newspaper. Impressed by her strong relationships with local realtors and a 10-year sales and marketing background, a local bank recruited her to the position of mortgage banker. She brought her extensive knowledge and expertise to Atlantic Bay in 2014. “I enjoy speaking to homebuyers moving into the area. If they need anything, even if it’s unrelated to their mortgage, they can call me,” Laurie says.
Laurie understands that the documentation requirements for a mortgage can be extremely overwhelming for borrowers. She says, “I’ll do anything I can to make it easier, from calling their CPA for tax returns to helping them pull documents and make copies. I like them to feel comfortable and want them to be happy when they close.”
She won a local WHKP Hometown Hero award for money raised over a three-year period from the Annual Kiwanis Bunny Hop, a 5K Fun Run for youth that she created in 2015.
